Daniel E. Morris, Esq.

Atty. Morris is the founder of Daniel E. Morris Law Firm, PLLC. He is a native of Cleveland, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Southern University A&M College. While at Southern, Atty. Morris played football and served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach under the leadership of legendary Coach Pete Richardson. Atty. Morris went on to pursue a Juris Doctorate of Law from Southern University Law Center. While at SULC, Atty. Morris served as a Student Criminal Attorney and became a Certified Mediator. He also served as Judicial Law Clerk for the 19th Judicial District Court in Louisiana. His favorite part of the job is working with his partner and wife, Atty. Genara D. Morris and having the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others by serving as a leader and role model in and for his community. He also enjoys the intellectual challenge of the court room and the satisfaction that comes with helping injured clients receive financial recoveries for their suffering. In addition to working as a general practitioner, he served as Public Defender for Cleveland, Mississippi, Bolivar and Wilkinson County Justice and Circuit Courts. He served as the Board Attorney for the first Federally Qualified Health Center in the United States, Delta Health Center, Inc. and also Board Attorney for the City of Drew, Mississippi. He is a member of MS. Bar Association, Magnolia Bar Association, American Bar Association, Vice President of SUFAA and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Attorney Genara D. Morris

Attorney Morris hails from Monroe, Louisiana. Upon graduating from Wossman High School, she attended and graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration. While a student at Grambling State University, Attorney Morris served as a legislative intern for Senator J. Bennett Johnston in our Washington, D.C. She was also a foreign exchange student in Saltillo, Mexico. Attorney Morris followed her passion for law and government to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she became an intern in the Louisiana State Capitol for the Jefferson Delegation. Prior to completion of the intern, she was offered a full time position with BellSouth Telecommunications in customer service where she worked for five (5) years while pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at Southern A&M University. In 2002, she decided to follow her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney and began law school at the prestigious Southern University Law Center, graduating in 2005. During her time in law school, Attorney Morris served as a juvenile attorney under the direction of Professor Jacqueline Nash. Upon graduation, Attorney Morris began her most important job of being a wife and mother. She is the wife of Attorney Daniel Morris. They have two beautiful children, Thomas and Danni Elise. Attorney Morris is a member of the greatest sorority in the world, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Attorney Morris is a managing partner of Daniel E. Morris Law Firm, Pllc, where she handles personal injury, family law, worker’s compensation and product liability cases for the firm. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in Legal Writing and Legal Research at her beloved alma mater, Southern University Law Center.
